Six Schneider Electric products win iF Design Awards 2020

The iF Design of the Year Award was founded in Germany in 1953 to recognize outstanding products and services designed with innovation, aesthetics and responsibility as the criteria.

The six product awards underscore Schneider Electric’s strategy of innovation and social responsibility.

Beijing, February 26, 2020 – Recently, six products from Schneider Electric, a global digital transformation expert in the field of energy efficiency management and automation, have won the internationally renowned iF Design Award, which is a globally recognized benchmark for product design. The iF Annual Design Awards was founded in 1953. The jury brings together the world’s top design experts and evaluates products and services based on five main criteria, namely innovation and refinement, function, aesthetics, social responsibility (carbon footprint, social impact, etc.) and positioning. In January 2020, a jury composed of 78 experts reviewed more than 7,200 products in seven categories, namely product, packaging, visual communication, interior design, professional concept, service and user experience design and architecture.

Take one of the winning products, the Mobiya Lite Portable Solar LED Lighting System, an off-grid rechargeable light with solar panels that is scheduled to hit the market in mid-2020. Mobiya Lite is designed to meet the needs of the 3 billion people around the world who do not have regular access to energy. In addition, the lamp can be used as a portable rechargeable battery for mobile phones, can be installed in multiple locations, is suitable for a wide range of scenarios, and can keep children safe during use. In the same category, Schneider Electric’s Thorsman LED work light won the iF Design Gold Award for outstanding advantages such as excellent stability and brightness, powerful internal functions, and fully ensured safety. The award was awarded to only 75 shortlisted products. Among the 6 award-winning products of Schneider Electric, the Yishang T switch series, which interprets the minimalist style with a right-angle flat frame and no border, was launched in China in 2019 and won industry recognition. The SpaceLogic KNX switch module is a new module of the KNX intelligent lighting control system. , integrating multi-functional design, convenient installation and expansion, digital application and other characteristics, is expected to be listed in China in the third quarter of this year, and will be widely used in smart home and smart building projects, bringing customers a safer, more reliable, comfortable and intelligent office life experience .
